Cities are diverse and colourful. They provide a habitat not only for us humans, but also for animals and plants. As insect diversity continues to decline worldwide, we need to utilise the potential of cities as a habitat for insects even better. After all, a diverse insect world is essential for the future of all life on our planet. And private gardens are becoming increasingly important in this respect. The SLInBio research project has analysed such gardens and developed garden types.
