Chemistry Magic

Chemistry changes the properties of materials. At the DECHEMA tent, young and old “wizards” can try simple but amazing experiments. They can also learn what is really happening. There will also be short demonstrations at regular intervals.

DECHEMA Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology

DECHEMA is a non-profit scientific society. It focuses on chemical engineering and biotechnology. For 100 years, it has brought together experts from science, research and industry. They share knowledge, ideas and practical solutions.

DECHEMA works on topics such as sustainable chemistry, energy and climate, recycling, water, the bioeconomy and pharmaceuticals. It also organises ACHEMA, the world’s largest trade show for chemical engineering and biotechnology.

Through events, networks, research projects and studies, DECHEMA helps turn scientific ideas into practical applications. It also supports young scientists and promotes scientific and technological progress.
